If pre-made sausages aren't quite doing it for you, you're looking for a new hobby or just want to try something different, this absolute legend of a bloke has created the most simple, step-by-step guide to making your own sausages from scratch.
Posted to the Tik Tok account kiwidad_adventures, the video has gained some 71 thousand views since it was posted earlier this year.
Being able to know exactly what ingredients are used in your sausages including customising them to meet your wildest desires is just one of many advantages to making your own sausages compared to buying them pre-made.

It's important to remember the people in this video are seasoned professionals who have a ton of experience making sausages from scratch.
What you need:
Meat Mincer/Sausage Press
Chosen meat + additional flavouring (onion, cheese, etc)
Bucket of water
Put meat through mincer on the coarse setting.
Add Sausage meal (to add flavour & help meat bind together).
Add desired extras to meat mix (cheese, onion, spices etc) and run through mincer again to help mix together.
Dip sausage casing in a bucket of water to help separate them as well as lubricating them.
Scoop a small amount of water inside the sausage casing to stretch it out and help it slide over the nozzle of the sausage press.
Load up sausage press with meat mix and while one person cranks the meat through, have a second person use their hand to feed an even amount of sausage into the casing as it comes out of the sausage press.
When you get to the end of the press, snap off the appropriate remaining amount of casing to tie it off.
