West Coast Pies, a Westport-based bakery, has been turning heads with its gold medal-winning gourmet pies at the 2024 Outstanding Food Producer Awards. 

Founder Emily Lucas credits the local flavours for the pies' success and explains how her wild venison steak pie, the original hit from her Day House restaurant days, has maintained its popularity thanks to premium ingredients from regional suppliers like Premium Game and Westgold.
